We’re delighted to share that Shrewsbury Food Hub is once again taking part in the Big Give Earth Raise (previously the Green Match Fund) — giving us the chance to unlock up to £20,000 in funding this April.

 

This exciting opportunity supports charities tackling environmental challenges such as food waste, and we’re proud to be involved again.

From Wednesday 22nd April to Wednesday 29th April, every donation made through our Big Give campaign pagewill be matched, pound for pound up to £10,000. This means that with your help, we could raise an amazing £20,000 in just one week — half from generous supporters and half from the Match Fund.

Your contribution during the campaign will have double the impact, helping us rescue even more surplus food and redistribute it to our community rather than letting it go to waste.

How you can take part

  • Make a donation via BigGive.org from 12pm on Wednesday 22nd April. The campaign closes on Wednesday 29th April. Please note, only donations made via our Big Give campaign page will be doubled.

 

  • Pop a reminder in your diary for 22/04/2026. The ‘donate’ button will only appear at midday when the match fund opens.

 

  • Spread the word! Sharing the campaign with your friends, family, or online networks helps us reach even more people who may want to double their donation.
